Privacy policy

bruxstudio.com is the personal portfolio of Balaji Ramesh, a product designer based in Chennai, India. For anything about your data, email hey@bruxstudio.com.

If you choose Accept in the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets cookies to help me understand which work people find useful. It collects:

• Pages you visit and how long you stay
• Approximate location (country / city) and language
• Device, browser and screen size
• How you arrived (for example a search engine or LinkedIn)
• Clicks on things like the contact buttons, the résumé download, case studies and the mini-games

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. I don't use it to identify you, and the data is kept for no more than 14 months.

If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are set. Google may still receive basic cookieless signals, such as a page having loaded, without any identifier.

A few small values are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device:

• Your cookie choice, so the banner doesn't ask again
• Your UX Invaders high score, Word Wend progress and daily streak, and any Check.exe game in progress
• In the FigGenie web app: your project name and chosen industry, and a cache of the icons you have viewed

On FigGenie's welcome screen you can start from an existing brand:

• A website address: this site's server reads that one public page and a few of its stylesheets, then sends back the name, colours and fonts it found. The address and the result are cached for up to a day to speed up repeat lookups, are not tied to you, and are not logged or kept beyond that
• Files you add (logos, brand guideline PDFs, CSS or token files): read entirely in your browser and never uploaded. Reading a PDF loads the open-source PDF.js library from cdnjs

The email and WhatsApp buttons open Gmail or WhatsApp. What you send is handled by those services under their own privacy policies. I use your message and contact details only to reply, and I never share or sell them.

Like most websites, loading a page here connects your browser to a few providers. They see technical details such as your IP address in order to deliver content:

• Cloudflare: hosting and security
• Google Fonts: typefaces
• Iconify: the icons shown on the FigGenie web app's Icons page, fetched only when you open it
• jsDelivr: open-source code libraries such as three.js
• cdnjs: the PDF.js library, only when you add a PDF to FigGenie
• Google Analytics: only as described above
• Figma: only if you open the embedded case study on a case study page. It loads then, not before, and Figma applies its own privacy policy

• No ads and no ad tracking
• No selling or renting of data
• No accounts, forms or newsletters on this site

• Change your cookie choice any time with COOKIES in the footer
• Block analytics everywhere with Google's opt-out add-on
• Ask what I hold about you, or ask me to delete it, by emailing hey@bruxstudio.com

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or India's DPDP Act give you these rights. I'll reply within 30 days.

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. This site isn't aimed at children.
